Maxine Krasnow

My goal is to make fine functional pottery that turns your everyday meals into sacred rituals.
I strive to make pots that are more than pots, that transcend themselves and remind you of a smell of hot chocolate, the color of sunset, or the sound of rain. And when I make such a pot, I bow to the kiln and say thank you.  The stoneware pots I make are meant to be used.  My hope is that when you take them home they add comfort, grace and beauty to your life. For me making pots is a way to celebrate the ordinary rituals of life and to make them sacred.
